So You Don't Wanna Hear About My Good Day?

Well tough shitt, cause it was so fucking awesome that if you don't actually read this then your life will never reach it's full potential. Sucks to be you. Not you. Him, over there. You know who you are!

22nd April 2010 - KOKO, Camden, London, UK

We saw Amanda Fucking Palmer live!!!!!!! But that's still to come. Let's begin at the beginning. First we got into a car driven by a good man :) Then we got into London and walked round Camden Market which was insanely cool and had lots of pretty clothes and pictures of Jim Morrison which scary vender people tried to force upon us. So we walked quickly away with our heads down, and after lots of walking we lifted up our heads again and saw Bob Geldof :o He was on the phone and sounded mad so we left him be. We decided after seeing Geldof our Camden experience was complete and we joined the already forming queue of beautiful people for AMANDA! Whilst waiting patiently and laughing at passing bus adverts a lovely man with a pirates hat gave us small elephants because he was also a good man and because he had a pocket watch. Soon some scary looking fat men came out but they were probably also good men so we didn't worry and they put x's on our hands and let us go inside which is good because it was windy and cold. When we got inside we saw that there was a massive fucking miror ball of epic proportions attached to the ceiling. This is why KOKO is a good place.

I'm taking a new paragraph here because this is the super exciting bit!!!!! A band called Bitter ruin played first, and we had never heard them but they had beautiful voices and were lovely and good people. After them Amanda came out looking super sexy with little clothes and we were amazed and then Robots In Disguise played a little 4 song acoustic set and they were really funny and good and they made us happy even though all we could think about Dee was she's had Noel inside of her! We rose above this because we are mature. After Robots Melissa Auf Der Maur played a small acoustic set and we'd never heard her solo music before but it was good and she was awesome and I really liked her voice too and she sung in French which is always a bonus :) Oh did I mention that between Robots and Melissa Auf Der Maur we saw Amanda again getting slowly sexier as she got ready :P Then after Melissa Auf Der Maur we waited a little while and then Amanda came on stage! She opened with Sex Changes which was epic and every song she played was just amazing! We were completely transfixed by the amazingness of her skills and the beauty of her entire presence.

Then when she finished we stood in a long queue of people and it moved very slowly but that's ok because there was lots of happy people. At the end Amanda and Neil were sat looking really pretty and cool and they signed all our stuff and just looked amazing. Amanda's make up was like a work of art it was just insane.
It was a completely WOW night for all the time she was on stage. Every song was brilliant and full of real genuine energy and it was a perfect night. Right at the end when we were honouring the great Malcolm McLaren she stage dived and we also may have perhaps groped AmandaFuckingPalmer, which was a highlight to our day :)It was so much better than we could ever have imagined an Amanda Palmer gig to be and we've imagined being at an Amanda Palmer gig lots.

Basically in conclusion WE FUCKING LOVE THAT WOMAN. She's so cool!!!!!
